Have you ever blinked and the day is gone? That's how my life feels right now. It's in super-fast forward and I am not in control of the day. I can't wait until my vacation in a few weeks.
I'm trying something I have not done in a very long time. I'm not taking my laptop with me on vacation. Yep, no laptop. Of course, I'll have my phone. I'm not that stupid. No other electronic device except for a digital camera. Will my mind be able to handle being away from electronics cold turkey like that? I'm going to find out.
I'm also taking a book to finish while I'm away. I have no idea of which book. If you only had one book to read while stranded on a deserted island, what book would it be? I'm not sure if I should go with a classic or something modern.

Why do you even need a laptop if you have an I-phone?
True. I was kinda hoping no one would have caught on to that.
I do have this habit of taking a shit load of pictures on my trips becasue I offload them to the laptop on a daily basis. The last trip, I had over 1100 photos for the week and a half we were gone.
This also ensures that I can not do any work while I'm gone. At least not any direct work. It will not prevent me from taking work calls and helping over the phone.
The book I would take if was stranded on a deserted island would be: I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb
Wow, 900 pages. I will "consider" this book as a my reading book for the trip.
I see other people's comments of finishing it in "record" time - 12 days. I know I could finish the book faster than that.
It took me a little over a week to read it, and that was with no sleep. I have read it twice so far.
